On Wednesday the 25th October, 5 members of the George Town Youth Impact Council attended the Bell Bay Aluminum Community Grants morning tea.

Kai, Kobi, Cody, Harrison and Trae, along with Youth Project Officer Andy Beeston were presented a cheque to the value of $1797.50 to provide assistance for the Youth Impact Council to receive new t-shirts, hats, flags and promotional material.

The Youth Impact Council, only in it’s 6th month of operation, have made immediate impact to George Town, providing advice to elected Councilors, hosted meetings with Members of parliament, facilitated a mock council meeting, assisted with the Youth Voice Collection, supported causes such as Catch it in the Catchment, submitted a grant to provide a youth street arts project and more.
